CALL FOR FILM ENTRIES:
The Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) is now accepting entries for its 13th Annual Film Festival to be held August 4-9th, 2009 at venues throughout the state of Rhode Island. Worldwide travelers, media, film industry representatives, plus over 300 filmmakers and celebrities from around the globe attend RIIFF’s film presentations, seminars and post-film parties and gatherings.
RIIFF accepts entries from professional, collegiate, and kid filmmakers. Rhode Island filmmakers should apply as professionals, with all film students applying within the collegiate or KidsEye categories.
Professional Submission - Feature, Documentary, Short, Animation, Experimental, and Rhode Island-made: Early Deadline: January 15, 2009. Final Deadline: June 1, 2009. Withoutabox Extended Deadline: June 15, 2009.
Collegiate Submissions - Narrative (46 min or longer), Short (under 45 min), Documentary, Animation. Early Deadline: January 15, 2009. Final Deadline: May 15, 2009. Withoutabox Extended Deadline: June 1, 2009.

The Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) features independent and foreign films and film events year-round at the historic, Columbus Theatre in downtown Providence. Every year, they hold one of the “Top 25 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee” (MovieMaker Magazine). RIIFF is the only film festival in the New England to be a qualifying Festival with the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences. RIIFF is also known by filmmakers as one of the most friendly festivals around.
